Crime and Punishment v1

Actions upon Common Infractions:

An Officer or a Chancellor will set up a meeting or court room with you in a private channel to discuss the issue with you and see if a positive solution can be made.  If this action continuous, then an Officer/Chancellor meeting will Be set up to determine your status as a member of Umbra or other possible actions.

Actions upon Raid Infractions:

If problems occur during a raid, the Raid Leader or any raiding Guild Officer will ask the offender to stop the distracting, insipid, or inappropriate actions.  If the infraction(s) continuous the raid officer has the right to remove you from his raid.  Upon the end of the Raid, the Raid leader and/ or raiding officers shall talk to the Guild member in question to inform them clearly of their infraction(s) in a private voice channel.  There should be at least 1 (one) additional officer present at this meeting.

Disciplinary Meeting Procedures:

Once it has been determined that an Officer/Chancellor meeting has to be convened, the following details some basic steps:

  • Minor Infractions: at least one Chancellor and 2 Officers should be present at this meeting.

  • Major Infractions: at least 2 Chancellors and 3 Officers should be present at this meeting.

  • Major Guild Incidents: For any other matters, Example, Removing an Officer, Chancellor, or long term member, then it should be all Chancellors and Lord Hammer.

  • Rational Resolutions: If the Infraction cannot be resolved then the Adjudicator shall step in and make a final decision on the matter. Either Darth Codious, Zaggan or in rare occasions Lord Hammer will hear all who are involved, before making a final decision.

  • Applicable Appeals: All members have the right to appeal to a higher court, thus move up the Chain of Command, if they feel the judgment was made incorrectly. This only applies if the infraction is not an auto-ban situation.  Our greatest hope is that it never reaches this level; we want all Officers, Senators and Chancellors to do their best in being a beat cop to resolve issues on a one on one basis.
